Legendary: Dive Into The Marvel Universe

Heroes Vs. Villains

Legendary pits the heroes of the Marvel universe against the villains in the ultimate battle of good vs. evil. Players can choose between 15 of their favorite superheroes, including Avengers such as Captain America or Iron man as well as X-men such as Cyclops or Storm. Your favorite Marvel villains also make an appearance, as you’ll have to fight the likes of Loki and Magneto if you want to foil the plans of the evil mastermind.

Legendary begins with players choosing a single mastermind villain to play against and filling their Villain deck with attack cards aligned with that villain’s dastardly scheme. Players will then choose several hero decks to shuffle together and play from, recruiting these cards across the course of the game to build their deck and vanquish the villains. Because you only choose one mastermind villain and several heroes from a much greater deck of cards, each game is sure to be a brand new unique combination of cards.

Escaping Villains

The objective of the game is to fight and defeat villains in order to collect their cards and earn points. During the course of the game, you’ll need to build your recruitment powers to enlist additional heroes to your cause. You’ll also need to build up your fighting ability in order to vanquish the new villains that get drawn at the beginning of each round.

If you take too long to defeat the villains, the villain row will fill up with cards and allow a villain to get away and wreak havoc upon the heroes. Certain villains will also perform evil deeds as soon as they’re introduced into the game, kidnapping innocent civilians and forcing you to rescue them. You’ll have to keep up with the cards if you plan on defeating the evil mastermind and claiming enough points to win the game.

Foiling The Mastermind

While you’re off fighting the minor villains, the evil mastermind is plotting his own nefarious plans. Your mastermind’s evil scheme depends on their identity, as their objective may be allowing a certain number of villains to escape or wounding the heroes to a certain level. You’ll have to build up your fighting power enough to claim all of the mastermind’s attack cards and bring the game to an end. If you’re too late to prevent the mastermind from succeeding, however, it’s game over for everyone!

Legendary Expansions And Sequels

The basic game of Legendary is based on characters in the Marvel universe, but there are several expansions and sequels that add new and dynamic characters to the mix. The Marvel Studios Phase 1 expansion adds characters from the Phase 1 movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including almost 400 card sets and the new Iron Monger mastermind character.

The Villains sequel turns the tables on the game, making the villains the playable characters and forcing you to take out the heroes in your evil quest to destroy the city. There’s even a Firefly version of Legendary that uses the most beloved characters from Joss Whedon’s landmark television show Firefly.

Legendary: A Must-Have Deck-Building Game

Legendary is playable by 1-5 players, so you can be pretty flexible about the size of the group you gather when you want to play a round. Playing time also lasts around 30 minutes to an hour, which means you can definitely go in for a couple games if you want to make it an all-nighter.

Dominoes: One Set, Countless Games

Almost every culture around the world has its own version of dominoes. Whether you’re playing with European-style ivory pieces or a cheap plastic set from the gas station, dominoes is one of the most flexible and popular games of all time. History Of Dominoes

This allows for a much more natural flow, as you can make way more connections and earn points in sneakier ways. Castle Panic: Teamwork is the Name of the Game

So you’ve put countless hours into building a castle, fortifying the walls, and creating an impenetrable stronghold. Well, guess what? It’s time to put those defenses to the test! In the game Castle Panic, you and your friends will have to draw cards, plan strategies, and roll the dice to defeat the evil hordes and keep your castle standing. Can you work together to defend the castle, or will infighting and self-preservation lead to a victory for the monsters?

Slay The Monsters, Protect The Castle

Castle Panic sets your beautiful medieval castle in the midst of a vast forest full of nefarious and bloodthirsty monsters. While you and your fellow players have been working on building your castle and training your soldiers, these monsters have formed their own gathering of dark forces to destroy your creation and wreak havoc upon you.

Castle Panic allows each player to work together to fight the monsters attacking the castle. The game is set up in a circle divided into rings, with the three innermost rings making up your defenses while the outer ring represents the forest from which the monsters attack. Each player spends their turn fighting off the monsters and repairing any damage done to the castle walls. When all of the towers are destroyed, it’s game over for everyone!

One thing that makesCastle Panic so unique is that everyone has to cooperate in order to defend the castle. Players draw cards each round to use for attacking monsters, and players are allowed to trade with each other to get the card they need to slay the monster. Because each card can only attack a monster in a specific color area, trading cards is an integral part of ensuring the group survives.

Nabbing The Title Of Master Slayer

While Castle Panic is a cooperative game, there is only one person who will walk away with the title of Master Slayer. Whoever earns the most victory points is declared the Master Slayer at the end of the game, so this can add a fun and mischievous incentive to allow your fellow players to perish instead of coming to their aid. Sure, you could trade cards and help your fellow defend his tower, but sacrifices have to be made if you want to rise above the crowd!

Castle Panic is a board game that uses a pretty simple layout and set of cards that can easily be mastered by younger players. The expansion packs add a bit more complexity including new bosses and game modes that make the original game more challenging for advanced players. Castle Panic: The Wizard’s Tower adds a new wizard’s tower in addition to a separate deck of cards that you can use to cast spells to both attack and defend.

The Dark Titan expansion adds a terrifying new boss monster named Agranok, as well as several new monsters and weapons to increase the carnage. The Engines of War expansion further increases the stakes by adding enemy encampments and siege engines to the mix, as well as lethal catapults you can use to rain destruction down upon your enemies.

All For One, One For All

Castle Panic is suitable for ages 10 and up, so it’s the perfect game to introduce younger kids to fantasy games without forcing them to sit through complicated rules.
